Overview
This information session is intended for those who are newly considering using the mdx II system. We will introduce the system’s overview, features, usage methods, and application procedures.
It is also an ideal session for those planning to utilize large-scale data processing, AI, and machine learning.
What is mdx II?
“mdx II” is an OpenStack-based virtual server computing platform operated by the Data Utilization Society Creation Platform Collaborative Organization and established at The University of Osaka. It enables flexible environment construction using virtual machines and can be used not only for supercomputing purposes but also for building data platforms and AI training. This service is ideal for those who have the following needs:
- Want to perform full-scale computational processing using high-performance computing resources
- Lack space or budget to install servers in a laboratory
- Need to secure a computing environment only for a short period for research or classes
- Want to combine computational processing with web applications in research
