As previously announced in the NEWS, we will start charging usage fees for mdx from May 11, 2023 (Thu). You will need to purchase mdx points for subsequent use.
You can purchase points in advance from noon on April 5 (Wed.).
Users who have been using mdx since the trial operation period and those who will start using mdx in FY2023 are requested to purchase points during the following point pre-purchase period.
Please note that points you have applied for purchase during the pre-purchase period will be reflected on the User Portal after May 8.
Point purchases can be made by “Project applicants” and “Users authorized by project applicants as a Point Purchaser” from the Project Application Portal.
For details on how to purchase points, please refer to 5. and 9.2 in mdx Users Guide.(Sorry, English version is not available.)
If you cannot log in to the Project Application Portal due to a change in the project applicant, please inform mdx help desk<mdx-help [at] mdx.jp> of the project name and user ID of the user who will purchase points (either Gakuin or mdx original account).
If you do not purchase points (i.e., you do not have any points balance in your project), you will not be able to use mdx, including access to the User Portal and Virtual Machines, after May 11 (Thu.). If point purchases are made within 90 days from the date the point balance becomes zero, the project can be resumed.

The migration schedule is as follows:

| May 11(Thu) 0:00 | Commencement of billing and consuming points |
| August 9(Wed) 0:00 | Data stored on the project’s virtual machine and mdx storage will be deleted on this day without purchasing points after the start of billing (May 11). |
If you decide not to continue using mdx, please download the necessary data and delete the project by yourself before May 10.
If you plan to continue using mdx after the start of billing operation, Please take a look at this file and;
1) confirm the end date of the project period.
2) review the amount of resources for the project.
3) purchase points.
